I-95 North Lane Closure Next Wednesday for Survey Operation in South Philadelphia
King of Prussia, PA – Motorists traveling northbound Interstate 95 will encounter a left or right lane closure next week between the Enterprise Avenue and Broad Street (Route 611) interchanges in Philadelphia on Wednesday, September 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for survey work, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on northbound I-95 through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All schedules activities are weather dependent.
The surveying operations are being performed for upcoming installations of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) components that will be used by PennDOT's Regional Traffic Management Center to monitor travel conditions and provide motorists with real-time information about area highways.
