Live Free Ride Alive Motorcycle Program Appearing At Lansdale Bike Night in Lansdale
Lansdale, PA – As part of the Wolf Administration's emphasis on highway safety, Live Free Ride Alive (LFRA), PennDOT's comprehensive motorcycle safety program, will sponsor a booth at Lansdale Bike Night in Lansdale September 7, starting at 5:00 PM. The program is aimed at reducing the number of motorcycle crashes and fatalities on Pennsylvania roadways through education and interaction among riders.
Riders at the event can access the program's website designed specifically for motorcyclists, www.LiveFreeRideAlive.com, at the LFRA booth. Riders are challenged to accept personal responsibility for their own safety through actions like obeying speed limits and not drinking and riding.
Through the LFRA program, PennDOT also emphasizes the importance of being properly licensed to operate a motorcycle and encourages the use of protective gear. With its new training partner, Total Control Training Incorporated, PennDOT offers Pennsylvania permit holders and licensed motorcyclists the opportunity to take advantage of new, exciting training opportunities for riders of all experience levels thorough Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program (PAMSP) training clinics. Visit www.pamsp.com for a listing of clinics.
