U.S. 202 Lane Closures at Night Next Week for Paving in Chester County

King of Prussia, PA –  Alternating northbound and southbound lane closures will be in place at night next week and next weekend for paving operations on U.S. 202 between the Boot Road and U.S. 30 East interchanges in East Whiteland and West Whiteland townships, Chester County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Crews will be milling and paving approximately 1,000 feet of U.S. 202 on both sides of the newly rehabilitated bridges over Amtrak located just south of the U.S. 30/Exton Bypass Interchange.

The work schedule is:

  • Thursday, September 26, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM;
  • Friday, September 27, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 AM; and
  • Sunday, September 29, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather permitting.

The work is part of the final stage of PennDOT's $26.4 million project to rehabilitate the northbound and southbound U.S. 202 bridges over Amtrak and the U.S. 30/Exton Bypass ramp and replace the concrete pavement on the ramps to and from U.S. 202 and U.S. 30/Exton Bypass. The entire project is expected to finish this fall. For more information, visit www.us202-300.com.
