I-95, I-476, U.S. 1 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Guide Rail Repair Across Philadelphia Region

​King of Prussia, PA – Daytime and overnight lane closures are scheduled on several state highways in Bucks, Delaware and Philadelphia counties next week, including Interstate 95, Interstate 476 and U.S. 1, for guide rail repairs, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The overnight work schedule will take place Sundays through Fridays, on Sunday, October 13, through Friday, October 25, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, at the following locations in Delaware and Philadelphia counties:

• Lane and shoulder closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Delaware State Line and the Bartram Avenue Interchanges in Chester, Chichester, Lower Chichester, Ridley, Upper Tinicum townships, Upland and Ridley Park boroughs and City of Chester, Delaware County;
• Lane and shoulder closures are scheduled in both directions on I-476 between I-95 and the Montgomery County Line in Ridley, Nether Providence, Marple, Haverford and Radnor townships, Delaware County;
• Lane and shoulder closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 between the Chester County Line and the Montgomery County Line in Upper Darby, Haverford, Springfield, Marple Upper Providence, Middletown, Concord and Birmingham townships and Chester Heights Borough, Delaware County; and
• Lane and shoulder closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Delaware County Line and the Bucks County Line in Philadelphia.

The daytime work schedule will take place on Monday, October 14 and Tuesday, October 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the following locations in Bucks County:

• A right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) and Street Road interchanges in Bristol and Bensalem townships;
• A left lane closure is scheduled in both directions on I-95 between Route 413 and Academy Road interchanges in Bristol and Bensalem townships;
• A right lane closure is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) between U.S. 1 and Levittown Parkway in Falls Township; and
• Monday, October 14, and Tuesday, October 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on the Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) ramp to southbound I-95 in Bensalem Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
