Norfolk Southern to Close Hanover Street October 14-18 for Rail Crossing Improvement in Montgomery and Chester Counties
King of Prussia, PA – Norfolk Southern Railroad is planning to close Hanover Street between High Street and U.S. 422 in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County, and North Coventry Township, Chester County, from 8:00 AM Monday, October 14, to sometime Friday night, October 18, for rail crossing upgrade, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
During the closure, Hanover Street motorists will be directed to use High Street, Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and Route 724 (Schuylkill Road). Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
