U.S. 422 Lane Closures Next Week for Construction on Three Improvement Projects in Montgomery and Chester Counties
King of Prussia, PA – U.S. 422 motorists will encounter several travel restrictions next week at various locations in Montgomery and Chester counties for construction activities on three separate projects to reconstruct, rehabilitate and improve the expressway, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
Weather permitting, the work schedule is:
- Monday, October 28, and Tuesday, October 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to close on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Route 724 and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County for pavement repair;
- Monday, October 28, through Friday, November 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure will be in [place on eastbound and westbound U.S. 422 between Route 100 and the Stowe Interchange in North Coventry Township, Chester County and West Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County for line striping and pavement marker installation; and
- Thursday, October 31, from 10:00 Am to 7:00 PM, alternating left or right lane closures are scheduled on eastbound U.S. 422 between Airport Road and Township Line Roads in Limerick Township, Montgomery County for bridge construction.
In addition to the lane and full closure of U.S. 422, several surface streets will be restricted next week for bridge construction. The work schedule is:
- Monday, October 28, through Friday, November 1, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, lane restrictions with flagging will occur on Troutman Road between Ashenfelter Road and Groff Circle in Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County;
- Monday, October 28, through Friday, November 1, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, lane restrictions with flagging will occur on Upper Indian Head Road between Cider Mill Road and Winding Ridge Road in Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County; and
- Monday, October 28, through Saturday, November 2, right lane closures are scheduled on Evergreen Road between Lightcap Road and Rupert Road in Limerick Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
