U.S. 422 East Lane Closure at Night Next Week for Bridge Beam Placement in Montgomery County
King of Prussia, PA – Eastbound U.S. 422 motorists will encounter a right lane closure between the Oaks and U.S. 202 interchanges on Monday, November 11, through Friday, November 15, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for bridge beam placement under a project to construct new, wider structures to carry U.S. 422 motorists over the Schuylkill River, Norfolk Southern Railroad, South Trooper Road and Schuylkill River Trail in West Norriton, Upper Merion and Lower Providence townships, Montgomery County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
Drivers should allow additional time for travel in the construction zone because backups and delays will occur. The contractor's schedule is weather dependent.
Construction on this $96.4 million improvement project began in February 2016 and is scheduled to finish in May 2020. For additional information on this project and PennDOT's entire U.S. 422 corridor improvement program, visit www.422improvements.com.
