U.S. 422 Restricted Tonight and Saturday for Resurfacing Operations in Upper, Lower Providence Townships, Montgomery County
King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on U.S. 422 in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships, as part of a project to repair and resurface 50 miles of state highway in Montgomery County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Thursday, November 14, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a lane restriction is scheduled on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Oaks (Egypt Road) interchanges; and
• Saturday, November 16, from 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM, a lane restriction is scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Oaks (Egypt Road) interchanges.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surfaces and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
Allan Myers, LP of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on the $13,260,444 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.
