PECO to Restrict Several State Highways Next Week for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning single lane closures next week on several state highways in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
Chester County
- Monday, February 10, through Friday, February 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on northbound and southbound U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Independence Way and Britons Bridge Road in Pennsbury Township;
- Monday, February 10, through Friday, February 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Church Street and 1st Avenue in the City of Coatesville;
- Monday, February 10, through Saturday, February 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) between Valley Park Road and Pawlings Road in Schuylkill Township; and
- Monday, February 10, through Friday, February 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 82 (Doe Run Road) between Crest Place and Strasburg Road in East Fallowfield Township.
Delaware County
- Monday, February 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Providence Road and Sandy Run Road in Edgmont Township; and
- Monday, February 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 252 (Newtown Street Road) between Goshen Road and Sawmill Road in Newtown Township.
Montgomery County
- Monday, February 10, through Saturday, February 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 73 (Cottman Avenue) at Hasbrook Avenue in Cheltenham Township; and
- Tuesday, February 11, through mid-April, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 63 (Main Street) between Broad Street and Chestnut Street in Lansdale Borough.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
