Important Message from Montgomery County Commissioner Dr. Val Arkoosh

This is a message from ReadyMontco

Over the past six weeks, our community has undergone drastic and unprecedented changes, the likes of which none of us alive today have ever seen.

In early March, we never would have imagined that we would have to go weeks, or even months, without seeing our family and friends.

We never could have dreamed that we would arrive at a grocery store only to see empty shelves, or that our favorite local retail shops would have to shut their doors.

Every one of our lives has been transformed as we adapt to a spring without graduations, weddings, sporting events, or holiday gatherings.

The mitigation measures we have put in place are working, but now is not the time to let up. Warm and sunny days will create temptation in our minds, but we cannot cave in. We cannot ease up. The quickest way to get back to normal is to stay home.

I am extremely grateful for the sacrifices that you have made, and will continue to make, in order to keep our community safe. By staying at home, you make us Montco Strong.
