PECO to Restrict Several State Highways Next Week for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning single lane closures next week on several state highways in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Chester County

  • Monday, July 20, and Tuesday, July 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 472 (Market Street) between Wickersham Road and Oxford Road in Oxford Borough;
  • Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Elmwood Drive and Route 52 (Lenape Road) in Kennett Township;
  • Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Main Street) between 8th Street and 10th Street in Pennsburg Borough; and
  • Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 113 (Pike Springs Road) at Red Fox Lane in East Pikeland Township.

Delaware County

  • Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Darlington Road and Valley Road in Chester Heights Borough;
  • Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 252 (Newtown Street Road) between Reese Avenue and Alpha Drive in Newtown Township;
  • Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 320 (Sproul Road) between Clyde Road and Godfrey Road in Radnor Township;
  • Monday, July 20, through late October from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Providence Road and Crum Creek Road in Edgmont Township; and
  • Monday, July 27, through Friday, August 21, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a weeknight lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Airdale Road and County Line Road in Radnor Township.

Montgomery County

  • Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 23 (Front Street) between Fayette Street and Route 320 (Swedeland Road) in West Conshohocken Borough; and
  • Saturday, July 18, through Wednesday, July 29, a lane closure is scheduled in one or more locations on Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike/Main Street) between Thompson Road and Route 113 (Harleysville Pike) in Upper Salford and Lower Salford townships.

Philadelphia County

  • Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Olney Avenue between Font Street and B Street.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
