PECO to Restrict Several State Highways Weekdays for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning weekday lane closures on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
Bucks County
- Monday, August 17, through Wednesday, August 19, on Route 263 (York Road) between Brandywine Court and Norristown Road in Warminster Township.
Chester County
- Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, on Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) between London Grove Road and Pennock Alley in London Grove Township.
Delaware County
- Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Lynn Boulevard and U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) in Upper Darby Township;
- Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Saint Albans Avenue and Winding Way in Newtown Township; and
- Thursday, August 20 and Friday, August 21, on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Sandy Flash Drive and Plumsock Road in Edgmont Township, Delaware County and Willistown Township, Chester County.
Montgomery County
- Tuesday, August 18, on Route 63 (Old Welsh Road) between Sybil Lane and Paper Mill Road in Abington Township; and
- Monday, August 24, through Friday, August 28, on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Oak Terrace Drive and Llanfair Road in Lower Gwynedd Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
