PennDOT - District 6 News: PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties

PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning weekday lane closures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM next week on several state highways in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.  
 
The work schedule is: 

Chester County  
  • Monday, February 15, through Friday, March 5, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in both directions between Garfield Avenue and Five Points Road in West Goshen Township; and
  • Monday, February 15, through Friday, March 5, a lane closure is scheduled on northbound Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) at the intersection with Gordon Drive in Uwchlan Township.  
Delaware County  
  • Monday, February 15, through Friday, March 12, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) in both directions between Earlington Road and Grove Place in Haverford Township; and
  • Monday, February 15, through Friday, March 12, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in both directions between St. Albans Avenue and Charles Ellis Lane in Newtown Township. 
Montgomery County
  • Monday, February 15, through Friday, March 12, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) between Crawford Avenue and Arrowmink Road in West Conshohocken Borough and Lower Merion Township.  
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Users can also see plow truck statuses and travel alerts along a specific route using the "Check My Route" tool.
