Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line to Close Swamp Road for Pipe Repair in Newtown Township, Bucks County
King of Prussia, PA – Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company, LLC is planning to close Swamp Road between Sawmill Lane and Liberty Drive in Newtown Township, Bucks County, beginning Tuesday, August 10, for pipe repair, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. The closure will be in place 24/7 through Tuesday, August 24.
During the closure, Swamp Road motorists will be directed to use Worthington Mill Road, Route 413 (Durham Road) and Route 532 (Newtown Bypass). Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company, LLC will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
