PECO to Close Burmont Road for Utility Improvement in Upper Darby Township
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning to close Burmont Road between Jones Street and McCoy Street in Upper Darby Township, Delaware County, beginning Wednesday, October 27, for gas main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. The closure will be in place weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through Friday, December 10.
During the closure, Burmont Road motorists will be directed to use Garrett Road, Lansdowne Avenue and Baltimore Avenue. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
