U.S. 422, North Gulph Road Traffic Stoppages Wednesday for PA Turnpike Construction in Chester, Montgomery Counties
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will utilize periodic 15-minute traffic stoppages on eastbound and westbound U.S. 422 and on North Gulph Road in the vicinity of the Turnpike overpasses in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County and Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County on Wednesday, December 22, between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, for installation of aerial utilities related to construction currently underway to widen and improve the Turnpike between milepost 324 and milepost 326, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The three stoppages, which will not take place concurrently, will be preceded by slow-moving traffic paces on U.S. 422 between the Oaks and Valley Forge Road interchanges, and on North Gulph Road between First Avenue and Guthrie Road.
Motorists should use caution and be prepared for slow or stopped traffic approaching these areas. Digital message signs will provide information on closures and detours. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
