PennDOT announced that a left lane closure will remain in place on northbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard for sinkhole repair. This is the same section of U.S. 202 that was shut down in July 2023 and December 2023 for additional sinkhole repair.
The lane closure has been in place since early Thursday morning after a depression in the pavement developed in the northbound travel lanes.
A left lane closure is expected to be in place sometime today, April 18, to allow PennDOT's contractor to perform necessary repairs so the highway can safely reopen to traffic.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because significant backups and delays will occur. Local access will be maintained for all residents and businesses.
