Construction Planned Next Week on U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) in Bristol Township, Bristol Borough
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities will occur next week at the U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) and the Beaver Dam Road/Beaver Street Intersection in Bristol Township and Bristol Borough, Bucks County, under a $7.5 million project to install safety enhancements to improve travel and reduce high-speed crashes across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Tuesday, October 22, through Friday, October 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled on U.S 13 (Bristol Pike) between the Beaver Dam Road/Beaver Street Intersection and Green Lane for sign, delineator, and pavement marking installation.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Kuharchik Construction, Inc. of Exeter, Pennsylvania, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
