Sign Construction, Guiderail Repair on U.S. 422, Route 100, Route 724

Sign Construction, Guiderail Repair Planned Scheduled Next Week on U.S. 422, Route 100, Route 724 in Chester County

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that sign construction and guiderail repair are scheduled next week on U.S. 422, Route 100, and Route 724 under an $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • Monday, February 24, through Friday, February 28, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, eastbound U.S.422 will be reduced to one lane between Route 100 and Keim Street in North Coventry Township for sign construction.
  • Monday, February 24, through Friday, February 28, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, westbound U.S.422 will be reduced to one lane between Keim Street and Route 100 in North Coventry Township for sign construction.
  • Monday, February 24, and Tuesday, February 25, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, one lane will be closed on northbound Route 100/Pottstown Pike at S. Hanover Street in North Coventry Township for guide rail repairs.
  • Wednesday, February 26, through Friday, February 28, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) will be reduced to one lane with flaggers between West Bridge Street and Old Schuylkill Road in East Vincent Township for sign construction.
  • Wednesday, February 26, through Friday, February 28, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) will be reduced to one lane eastbound between Whartnaby Street and Kline Avenue in North Coventry Township for guiderail installation.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
