PennDOT announced that Aqua Pennsylvania will perform water main construction on Valley Forge Road in Upper Merion Township beginning Tuesday, February 11.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
• Tuesday, February 11, through Friday, April 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) is scheduled to be closed and detoured on weekdays at the intersection with Route 252 (Valley Creek Road). During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 23 (Valley Forge Road/Nutt Road), Route 29 (Starr Street), Route 29 (Bridge Street), Egypt Road, U.S. 422, and Route 23 (Valley Forge Park Road/Gulph Road).
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
