Norfolk Southern Railroad will close Main Street between 1st Avenue and 2nd
Avenue in Royersford Borough, Montgomery County, from 9:00 AM Monday, March
14,
through 11:00 PM Friday, March 18, for rail crossing replacement, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.
During the operation, Main Street through traffic will be detoured over 2nd
Avenue, Arch Street and 1st Avenue. Local access will be maintained up to
the
construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when
traveling
through the area.

Aqua Pennsylvania will reduce Newtown Road to one lane between Wyola Drive
and
Plymouth Road in Newtown Township, Delaware County, from Wednesday, March
9,
through Tuesday, March 15, for water main installation, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said today. Crews will work weekdays
from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
During the operation, motorists are advised to allow extra time when
driving
through the area.
Aqua Pennsylvania will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy
Permit.

Lehigh Avenue will be closed and detoured between Richmond Street and
Thompson
Street in Philadelphia on Tuesday, March 1, through Saturday, March 5, from
9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for overhead bridge construction,
the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said today.
During the overnight street closure, Lehigh Avenue through traffic will be
detoured over Richmond Street, Allegheny Avenue and Aramingo Avenue. Local
access will be maintained up to the construction area near the Interstate
95
overpass.
This overnight operation is part of the $211.7 million project to rebuild
and
widen 1.5 miles of northbound I-95 from Columbia Avenue to just south of
Allegheny Avenue.
The contractor's work schedule is dependent on the weather.
