Aquetong Road, Pineville Road, Kellers Church Road to Close Next Week for Pipe Replacement in Bucks County

King of Prussia, PA – Aquetong Road, Pineville Road and Kellers Church Road will be closed and detoured next week for pipe replacement in Bucks County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Weather permitting, the work schedule and locations are:

  • Monday, December 6, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Aquetong Road will be closed between Low Road and Stoney Hill Road in Solebury Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Stoney Hill Road, Ridge Road, Street Road and Route 232 (Windy Bush Road);
  • Tuesday, December 7, and Wednesday, December 8, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Pineville Road will be closed between Buckmanville Road and Eagle Road in Upper Makefield Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Windy Bush Road, Route 413 (Durham Road), Wrightstown Road and Eagle Road; and
  • Thursday, December 9, and Friday, December 10, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Kellers Church Road will be closed between Mink Road and Ridge Road in Bedminster Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Fretz Valley Road, Route 113 (Bedminster Road), Elephant Road and Ridge Road.

Local access will be maintained up to each work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays may occur.

SEPTA to Close Warminster Road December 11 for Track Repair in Montgomery County

King of Prussia, PA – SEPTA is planning to close Warminster Road between Mill Road and Surrey Lane in Hatboro Borough and Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County, on Saturday, December 11, from 7:00 AM to 11:59 PM for track crossing repair, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. 

During construction, Warminster Road motorists will be directed to use Route 263 (York Road) and Byberry Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. This operation is weather dependent.

I-76 Ramps at 30th Street to Close Periodically at Night Next Week for Construction in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA – The ramp from Walnut Street to eastbound Interstate 76 and the ramp from the 30th Street Interchange to westbound I-76 in Philadelphia will be closed and detoured periodically but not concurrently on Monday, December 6, through Thursday, December 9, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for concrete pavement grinding, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. 

Motorists normally using the on-ramp will be directed west on Walnut Street, left on 38th Street, then left on Spruce Street to South Street and the on-ramp to eastbound I-76.

Westbound off-ramp traffic will be detoured east on Interstate 676, exit at 23rd Street, turn left on 22nd Street to the ramp to westbound I-676, then take the ramp to eastbound I-76 and the exit at 30th Street.

The concrete pavement grinding, which corrects uneven areas on the recently repaired ramps, is part of PennDOT's $103.6 million project to rehabilitate the Chestnut Street bridge over the Schuylkill River and seven other nearby structures, including the westbound I-76 ramp to 30th Street and the Walnut Street on-ramp to eastbound I-76 at 30th Street. Hankin Construction to Close Whitford Road for Utility Improvement in Uwchlan Township

King of Prussia, PA – Hankin Construction plans to close Whitford Road/Village Avenue between Crump Road and RG Holmes Boulevard in Uwchlan Township, Chester County, beginning Wednesday, December 15, for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. The closure will be in place weekdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM through Thursday, December 23.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use RG Holmes Boulevard, Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue) and Crump Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. 

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Hankin Construction will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) Among State Highways Restricted for Resurfacing Operations in Philadelphia, Chester Counties

King of Prussia, PA – U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) is among state highways restricted in Philadelphia and Chester counties for resurfacing operations, as a part of several projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedules and locations are:

Philadelphia

  • Thursday, December 2, and Friday December 3, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound State Road at the Pennypacker Road Intersection for milling and paving operations;
  • Monday, December 6, through Friday, December 10, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled on the southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) outer lanes between Plaza Drive and Banks Way for milling and paving operations; and
  • Wednesday, December 8, through Friday, December 10, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on the ramp from Market Street to southbound Interstate 95 for road repair.

Chester County

  • Monday, December 6, through Friday, December 10, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) between Route 10 (Limestone Road) and Fallowfield Road in West Fallowfield Township for paving operations; and
  • Monday, December 6, through Friday, December 10, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Creek Road between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Route 926 (Street Road) in Birmingham Township, Chester County and Chadds Ford Township, Delaware County for sinkhole repair operations.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these improvement projects, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

During the closure, Cheyney Road motorists will be directed to use southbound U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Concord Road. Local access will be maintained during the operation.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy plans to close Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) between Stony Run Road and Park Road in East Vincent Township, Chester County, beginning Wednesday, December 15, for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. The closure will be in place Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through Tuesday, February 15.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Bridge Street and Stony Run Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. 

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
