East Whiteland Township to Restrict Swedesford Road Weekdays for Utility Work in Chester County

​King of Prussia, PA – East Whiteland Township is planning weekday lane closures on Route Swedesford Road between Liberty Boulevard and Valley Stream Parkway in East Whiteland Township, Chester County, on Monday, June 24, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for utility work, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. The schedule is weather dependent.

East Whiteland Township will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Almshouse Road Weekday Lane Closures Scheduled for Utility Installation in Bucks County

​King of Prussia, PA – Periodic lane closures are scheduled on Almshouse Road between Route 332 (Jacksonville Road) and Sandtrap Road in Warwick and Northampton townships, Bucks County, on Monday, June 24, through Tuesday, July 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for utility installation as part of a project to repair and resurface 35 miles of state highway in Bucks County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns may occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

Additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract include:

  • Route 32 (Bridge Street/Delmorr Avenue/River Road) between U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) and Bedford Place in Lower Makefield and Falls townships, and Morrisville Borough;
  • Route 32 (Main Street/River Road) between Route 232 (Windy Bush Road) and Ferry Street/Byram Road in Tinicum and Plumstead townships and New Hope Borough;
  • Route 113 (Souderton Road) between County Line Road and Bethlehem Pike in Hilltown Township;
  • Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) between County Line Road and Route 152 (Main Street) in Warrington and New Britain townships, and Chalfont Borough;
  • State Road between Station Avenue and Otter Creek Bridge/Bristol Borough line in Bensalem and Bristol townships;
  • Stump Road between Cabin Run Road and Route 413 (Durham Road) in Plumstead Township;
  • Station Avenue/Cornwells Avenue between Herringbone Avenue and Route 513 (Hulmville Road) in Bensalem Township;
  • New Tyburn Road between Lincoln Highway and Cedar Lane in Falls Township;
  • Trenton Avenue between Woolston Drive/Lincoln Highway and Route 32 (Delmorr Avenue) in Falls Township and Morrisville Borough; 
  • Swamp Road between Rushland Jamison Road and Route 232 (2nd Street Pike) in Wrightstown Township;
  • Stony Brook Road between Pineville Road and Route 32 (River Road) in Lower Makefield Township;
  • Lurgan Road between Van Sant Road and Route 32 (River Road) in Upper Makefield Township;
  • Mill Road between State Road and U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) in Bensalem Township; and
  • Mill Creek Road between Swamp Road and Washington Creek/Mill Creek Road in Wrightstown Township.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

James D. Morrissey, Inc., of Philadelphia, is the general contractor on the $10,457,349 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's transportation plan. Work on the project is expected to be completed in December.

​King of Prussia, PA – Route 100 motorists will encounter a single lane closure between Pottstown Pike and Kirkland Avenue in West Whiteland Township, Chester County, on Monday, June 24, through Friday, June 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM for conduit removal and concrete repairs, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

U.S. 1, I-95 Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week for Guide Rail Repair in Delaware, Bucks and Philadelphia Counties

​King of Prussia, PA – Daytime and nighttime lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 1 in Delaware County and Interstate 95 in Bucks and Philadelphia Counties for guide rail repairs the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, June 24, through Friday, June 28, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, periodic lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 1 between Hoffmans Mill Road and Wemouth Road in Chadds Ford and Springfield townships, Delaware County;
  • Tuesday, June 25, through Thursday, June 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Academy Road/Linden Avenue and Route 213 interchanges in Bensalem Township, Bucks County and Philadelphia; and
  • Thursday, June 27, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM a left lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Academy Road/Linden Avenue and Cottman Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Route 82 (Manor Road) Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Resurfacing Operations in Chester County

​King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 82 (Manor Road) between Hibernia Road and Chestnut Street in West Nantmeal and West Brandywine townships and Elverson Borough, Chester County on Monday, June 24, through Friday June 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for milling operations, as part of a project to repair and resurface 41 miles of state highway in Chester County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
 
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

State highway completed under this resurfacing project include:

  • U.S. 1 (Kennett Oxford Bypass) between Route 896 (Newark Road) and just north of Route 796 (Jennersville Road) in Upper Oxford and Penn townships.

Additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract include:

  • U.S. 1 (Kennett Oxford Bypass) between the Maryland State line and just south of Hopewell Road/Locust Street in West Nottingham and East Nottingham townships;
  • Route 82 (Union Street/Unionville Road) between Hillendale Road and Cedarcroft Road in Kennett Township and Kennett Square Borough;
  • Route 82 (Doe Run Road/First Avenue) between Strasburg Road and Wagontown Road in Valley and East Fallowfield townships, and the City of Coatesville;
  • Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) between Welsh Pool Road and just south of Garrison Drive in West Vincent, Uwchlan and Upper Uwchlan townships;
  • Route 352 (Chester Road) between the Delaware County line and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Westtown Township;
  • Street Road between Forge Road and the Upper Oxford Township line in Lower Oxford Township;
  • Valley Road between Whitehorse Road and Valley Park Road in Willistown, Tredyffrin and Schuylkill townships; and
  • Baltimore Pike between Barnsley Road and Route 472 (Market Street)/Route 10 (3rd Street) in East Nottingham Township and Oxford Borough.

Allan A. Myers, LP, of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on the $9,995,555 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.

​King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 463 (Horsham Road) between Upper State Road and Tournament Drive in Montgomery and Horsham townships, Montgomery County, on Sunday, June 23, through Sunday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM for milling, paving and utility adjustments, as part of a project to repair and resurface 39 miles of state highway in Montgomery County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

Additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract include:

  • Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Second Street in Schwenksville, Red Hill and Green Lane boroughs;
  • Route 63 (Old Welsh Road) between Terwood Drive and Red Lion Road in Lower Moreland Township;
  • Route 113 (Broad Street) between Front Street and the Bucks County line in Souderton Borough;
  • Route 332 (Montgomery Avenue/Jacksonville Road) between Route 263 (York Road) and the Bucks County line in Hatboro Brough;
  • Route 363 (Trooper Road) between Audubon Road and Germantown Pike in Worcester, Lower Providence and West Norriton townships;
  • U.S. 422 between Porter Road and the Chester County line in Lower Pottsgrove Township;
  • Route 663 (Layfield Road) between Route 73 (Big Road) and Hill Road in New Hanover Township;
  • Perkiomenville Road between Route 73 (Big Road) and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) in Upper Fredrick Township;
  • Water Street Road between Route 363 (Valley Forge Road) and just north of the Skippack Creek Bridge in Worcester and Skippack townships;
  • Limerick Road between Ridge Pike and Township Line Road in Perkiomen and Limerick townships; and
  • Neiffer Road between Ridge Pike and Pheasant Road in Limerick Township.

Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County is the general contractor on the $7,522,941 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's transportation plan. Work on the project is expected to be completed in December.
