This is a message from Upper Providence/Trappe Township Office of Emergency Management. The Perkiomen Creek and the Schuylkill River have reached flood stage, and the water is continuing to rise. National Weather Service has
issued a Flood Warning will remain in effect into Wednesday. Please use caution during the morning commute, numerous roads are closed due to flooding and fallen trees.
Do not drive through standing water or around barricades or cones. Turn around, don't drown.

Below are the current road closures and power outages.

Road Closures:

River Rd/Harts Ln
Manor Rd/Dawnwood Rd—Tree Down Across the Roadway (Hagysmill Rd Access Gate is Open)
Milita Hill Rd Between Joshua Rd and Toland Dr.
Joshua Rd Between Skippack Pike and the Lafayette Connector
Morris Rd Between the Lafayette Connector and Sheaff Lane.

Flood Gates are Closed at the following locations:
Thomas Rd/Jackson Dr.
Thomas Rd/ Kottler Dr.
Stenton Ave/ W Mill Rd
Stenton Ave/Flourtown Rd
Cricket Rd
W Valley Green Rd/Cricket Rd
W Valley Green Rd/ Creek Lane
W Valley Green Rd/ Bethlehem Pike

If you come across any flooded roadways or road closures please do not go around the barricades "Turnaround Don't Drown", if you go around the barricades you will be putting yourself as well as first responders in harms way.

The National Weather Service has issued a FLOOD WARNING for area. Avoid unnecessary travel. Do not drive or walk through flooded areas and do not drive around barricades. Turn around, Don't Drown.

Monitor local media or NWS forecasts for storm updates.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Delaware, including the following County, New Castle, southern New Jersey, including the following counties, Gloucester and Salem, and southeast Pennsylvania, including the following counties, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery.

* WHEN...Until midnight EST tonight.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 608 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
