Lane Closure on Skippack Pike Extended
The gas pipeline repairs that have closed eastbound Skippack Pike (Route 73) in the Township will be extended until approximately October 24. The work is extended due to the nature of the repairs that must be completed by the gas pipeline company, Enbridge.
The eastbound stretch of Skippack Pike, between Narcissa Road and Butler Pike, will remain closed and detoured 24/7 during construction. Motorists will be directed to use Penllyn Blue Pike, Morris Road, Butler Pike. Trucks will be directed to use U.S. 202, Route 63 (Welsh Road), Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike).
Skippack Pike westbound will remain open to traffic. Local access will be maintained at all times.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
