Travel Restrictions in Philadelphia and Delaware County for Bridge
Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled in Philadelphia and Delaware Countyfor
bridge
inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today
announced.

Weather permitting, the work schedule is:

• On Thursday, June 16, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the left lane will be
closed
on Interstate 95 south between Academy Road and Cottman Avenue (Route 73)in

Philadelphia;
• On Tuesday, June 21, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the left lane will be
closed
on I-95 south between Route 291 and Route 420. The northbound right lane
will
be closed between Route 291 and Broad Street (Route 611) from 12:00 PM to
3:00
PM in Philadelphia and Tinicum Township, Delaware County;
• On Wednesday, June 22, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed on I-95 north between Columbus Boulevard and Interstate 676. The
left
lane will be closed from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM in Philadelphia; and
• On Thursday, June 23, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed
on I-95 south between I-676 and Columbus Boulevard. The left lane will be
closed from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM in Philadelphia.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and
Android
devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts
accessible
on the 511PA website.
