PennDOT to Resurface Eight State Highways in Philadelphia Region

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
lane restrictions are scheduled on eight state highways in the Philadelphia
region next week for the milling and resurfacing.
Weather permitting, the resurfacing schedule is:
• On Sunday, August 7 through Thursday, August 11, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM,
lane closures are scheduled on Godfrey Road between Darby Paoli Road and
Route
320 (Sproul Road) in Radnor Township, Delaware County, for base repairs;
and
• From Friday, August 12 through early September, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM,
lane
closures are scheduled on Lancaster Avenue between Market Street and Girard
Avenue in Philadelphia, for milling and paving,
These two state highways are being resurfaced under two separate
resurfacing
contracts worth $11 million. The contracts are financed with 100 percent
state
funds.
In addition:
• On Sunday, August 7 through Thursday, August 11, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM,
lane closures are scheduled on Route 452 (Pennell Road) between Dutton Mil
Road
and Jessica Way in Aston Township, Delaware County, for base repairs and
resurfacing;
• On Sunday, August 7 through Thursday, August 11, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM,
lane closures are scheduled on Ridley Avenue between Chester Pike and
Lincoln
Avenue in Ridley Park and Prospect Park boroughs, Delaware County, for
milling;
• On Sunday, August 7 through Thursday, August 11, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM,
lane closures are scheduled on McDade Boulevard between Ridley Creek and
Fernwood Avenue in Ridley Township, Delaware County, for milling, base
repairs,
and paving;
• On Monday, August 8, through Friday, August 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
weekday lane restrictions are scheduled on Deerwood Lane/Sawmill
Road/Stoney
Garden Road between Route 212 and Route 412 in Haycock Township, Bucks
County,
for milling and resurfacing;
• On Monday, August 8 through Sunday, August 14, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 and
from
6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, lane closures are scheduled on Kelly Drive between 25th
Street and Hunting Park Avenue in Philadelphia for milling and resurfacing;
and
• On Monday, August 8 through Friday, August 12, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM,
lane
closures are scheduled on Haverford Avenue between U.S. 1 (City Avenue) and
Lancaster Avenue in Philadelphia, for milling and resurfacing.
These six state highways are being repaired and resurfaced under four
separate
resurfacing contracts worth $9 million. These contracts are financed with
100
percent state funds through Act 89, Pennsylvania's transportation plan.
