Abington Township to Close PA 63 (Old Welsh Road) for Sewer Installation

Abington Township will close Route 63 (Old Welsh Road) between Paper Mill
Road
and Huntingdon Road in Montgomery County on Saturday, March 4, from 7:00 AM
to
5:00 PM, for sewer installation, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation
(PennDOT) today announced.
During the operation, Route 63 (Old Welsh Road) through traffic will be
detoured over Edgehill Road and Terwood Road. Local access will be
maintained
up to the construction zone.
Abington Township will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy
Permit.
The scheduled travel restriction is subject to change due to weather,
emergency, and traffic considerations. Motorists should reduce their
speeds
whenever traveling through designated work zones.
