NWS Weather Briefing

Attached is a weather briefing from the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, NJ regarding heavy rain that is expected to affect the Chester County tonight, Friday (March 31th) through early Saturday morning.

2"-3" of rain is expected from this storm which could lead to flooding along creeks and urban areas with poor drainage.

Chester County Forecasted Conditions:

  • Anticipated Timing: Rain beginning this afternoon continuing into the early morning hours of Saturday April 1
  • Precipitation: 2"- 3"of rain
  • Active watches & warnings: Flood Watch is in effect from March 31, 12:00PM until April 1, 02:00AM
Impacts:
  • Heavy rains
  • Flooding along creeks and urban areas with poor drainage
DES Actions:
  • We will continue to monitor this event and provide additional information as it becomes available.
  • The Watch Officer is available through the 911 Supervisor
