I-95 Nighttime Lane Closures, Ramp Restrictions Next Week in Philadelphia

Motorists using Interstate 95 will encounter travel restrictions at night
next
week for construction near Philadelphia International Airport and at the
Cottman Avenue (Route 73) Interchange in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, April 17, through Thursday, April 20, lane closures will be in
place
on northbound I-95 between the Bartram Avenue/Route 291 East and
Philadelphia
International Airport interchanges for removal of construction barrier. One
northbound lane will close between 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM. A second
northbound
lane may close between 12:01 AM and 5:00 AM; and
• Monday, April 17, through Friday, April 21, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, the northbound off-ramp to Cottman Avenue (Route 73)
will be
reduced to a single lane for drainage work.
The work near the Philadelphia International Airport is part of PennDOT's
initiative to update Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) equipment on
I-95
and other regional highways. The ramp work is part of the $212 million
reconstruction and widening at the Cottman Avenue (Route 73) Interchange.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
