Travel Restrictions Scheduled on U.S. 422 for Bridge Inspections in
Montgomery and Chester Counties

Travel restrictions are scheduled on U.S. 422 in Montgomery and Chester
counties for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation
(PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to
close on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and
Sanatoga
interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County;
• Tuesday, April 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on westbound U.S. 422 between the Sanatoga and Armand Hammer
Boulevard
interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County; and
• Wednesday, April 26, and Thursday, April 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the
right lane is scheduled to close on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Route
724
(Schuylkill Road) and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges in North
Coventry
Township, Chester County, and Lower Pottsgrove, Montgomery County.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
The schedules are dependent on the weather.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
