I-95, I-76 and Route 132 (Street Road) Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next
Week for Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia Region

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week for bridge inspections on
Interstate 95, Interstate 76 and Route 132 (Street Road) in the
Philadelphia
region, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced
today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, July 17, through Thursday, July 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the
right lane is scheduled to close on northbound I-95 Girard Point Bridge
between
the Enterprise Avenue/Island Avenue and Broad Street (Route 611)
interchanges
in Philadelphia;
• Monday, July 17, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to
close on eastbound I-76 at the U.S. 202 interchange in Upper Merion
Township,
Montgomery County;
• Monday, July 17, from 12:00 PM to 3 PM, the right lane is scheduled to
close
on the westbound ramp from I-76 West to U.S. 202 South in Upper Merion
Township, Montgomery County;
• Tuesday, July 18, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on westbound I-76 at the U.S. 202 interchange in Upper Merion
Township,
Montgomery County;
• Wednesday, July 19, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on eastbound Route 132 (Street Road) at the U.S. 1 interchange in
Bensalem Township, Bucks County;
• Wednesday, July 19, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on westbound Route 132 (Street Road) at the U.S. 1 interchange in
Bensalem Township, Bucks County;
• Thursday, July 20, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, lane
closures are scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Route 63 (Woodhaven
Road)
and Route 132 (Street Road) interchanges in Bensalem Township, Bucks
County; and
• Saturday, July 22, from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on eastbound I-76 between the Interstate 676 and South Street
interchanges in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur. The schedules are dependent on the weather.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
