I-95 and Collector Lanes Overnight Travel Restrictions Next Week for Large
Sign Maintenance in Philadelphia

Overnight lane closures are scheduled next week on southbound Interstate 95
and
the southbound I-95 collector lanes in Philadelphia for large sign
maintenance,
the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, December 18, from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, a left lane closure is
scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Hog Island Road and 26th Street
interchanges;
• Tuesday, December 19, from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM, double left lane closures
are
scheduled on the southbound I-95 collector lanes between Airport
Recirculation
Road and Island Avenue;
• Tuesday, December 19, from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM, double right lane
closures
are scheduled on the southbound I-95 collector lanes between Airport
Recirculation Road and Island Avenue; and
• Wednesday, December 20, from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM, a left lane closure is
scheduled on the southbound I-95 collector lanes between Airport
Recirculation
Road and Island Avenue.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
area.
The schedule is weather dependent.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is replacing and repairing large
sign
structures throughout Philadelphia.

Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in February 2018.

Collinson, Inc., of Uwchland, Pennsylvania is the general contractor on the

$2,441,490 project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
