Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Tree Trimming Operations in the
Philadelphia Region

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways for
tree
removal operations in the Philadelphia region, the Pennsylvania Department
of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Tuesday, April 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with
flagging
are scheduled on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) between Fairview Road and
Horseshoe
Trail in East Nantmeal Township, Chester County;
• Tuesday, April 3 and Wednesday, April 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Newportville Road between U.S.

(Bristol Pike) and New Falls Road in Bristol Township, Bucks County;
• Tuesday, April 3, through Thursday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 472 (Hickory Hill Road)
between Elk Creek Road and Oxford Road in East Nottingham Township, Chester

County;
• Wednesday, April 3, through Friday, April 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a
right
lane closure is scheduled on southbound Interstate 476 between the Route 3
(West Chester Pike) and the U.S. 1 and Media/Swarthmore interchanges in
Marple,
Township, Delaware County;
• Wednesday, April 4, and Thursday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a
right
lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard
Expressway)
between the Fox Street/Henry Avenue and Interstate 76 interchanges in
Philadelphia;
• Thursday, April 5 and Friday, April 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Bensalem Boulevard between U.S.

(Bristol Pike) and Gibson Road in Bensalem Towship, Bucks County; and
• Friday, April 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with flagging
are
scheduled on Oxford Road between Frog Hollow Road and Wilson Mill Road in
East
Nottingham Township, Chester County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities
are
weather dependent.
