PennDOT To Host Open House for Chichester Avenue Corridor Improvement Project in Upper Chichester Township
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will hold an open house public plans display on Tuesday, March 3, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Upper Chichester Township Building at 8500 Furey Road in Upper Chichester to inform citizens about the future project to improve the Chichester Avenue corridor between the Interstate 95 ramps and Bethel/Thornton Road.
The purpose of this open house is to present and gather public feedback on the proposed improvements at the Chichester Avenue and I-95 Interchange which include roundabouts at the intersections of Chichester Avenue with Pleasant Avenue/I-95 South on-ramp and with Johnson Avenue/I-95 North off-ramp. The meeting will be conducted as an open-house plans display where citizens will have the opportunity to circulate among the subject displays to gather information and discuss the different facets of the project with PennDOT's design team.
The purpose of the project is to improve safety and mobility through the interchange and the Chichester Avenue corridor to reduce angle and rear-end crashes and injury crashes.
This corridor was identified as a high crash location through the Statewide High Crash Location Lists, as part of the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP).
