Aqua Pennsylvania to Restrict Several Highways Next Week for Utility Improvements in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA – Aqua Pennsylvania is planning single lane closures next on several state highways in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Chester County

  • Monday, April 13, through Monday, May 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM a lane closure is scheduled Mondays through Saturdays on northbound Route 52 (Lenape Road) between Birmingham Road and Darlington Drive in East Bradford Township.

Delaware County

  • Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 17, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (State Road) between Springfield Road and Rolling Road in Springfield Township;
  • Wednesday, April 15, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 1 (State Road) between Rolling Road and Route 320 (Sproul Road) in Springfield Township; and
  • Wednesday, April 15, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 252 (Providence Road) between Kirk Lane and Monroe Street in Upper Providence Township and Media Borough.

Montgomery County

  • Monday, April 13, through Tuesday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Fitzwatertown Road between Susquehanna Road and Woodland Road in Abington and Upper Dublin townships; and
  • Monday, April 20, through Tuesday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, New Second Street is scheduled to close weekdays between Oak Lane and Cheltenham Avenue in Cheltenham Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Oak Lane and Cheltenham Avenue.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
