PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning lane closures on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Bucks County

  • Monday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 532 (Bustleton Pike) between Route 132 (Street Road) and Irving Place in Lower Southampton Township, for gas main installation.

Chester County

  • Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 896 (New London Road) between Route 841 (Chesterville Road) and Gypsy Hill Road in Franklin Township, for aerial line work;
  • Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, on Route 491 (Naamans Creek Road) between Overlook Circle and Bethel Hills Road in Bethel Township, for utility repair;
  • Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on northbound U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Nursery Lane and Hamorton Cutoff Road in Kennett Township, for aerial line work;
  • Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, on Route 472 (Market Street) between Wickersham Road and Oxford Road in East Nottingham Township and Oxford Borough, for aerial maintenance;
  • Monday, June 15, through Saturday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike), Mondays through Saturdays between Font Road and Ridge Road in South Coventry, East Nantmeal, West Vincent and Upper Uwchlan townships, for aerial line work; and
  • Tuesday, June 16, through Friday, June 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 52 (Lenape Road) between Darlington Drive and Tigue Road in East Bradford Township, for utility work.

Delaware County

  • Friday, June 19, through Thursday, June 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between St. David's Road and Pembroke Avenue in Radnor Township, Delaware County, for utility restoration;
  • Friday, June 19, through Friday, June 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 291 (4th Street) between Harrah's Boulevard and Hinkson Street in City of Chester, for manhole inspections;
  • Friday, June 19, through Friday, June 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 291 (2nd Street) between Route 320 (Madison Street) and Welsh Street in City of Chester, for manhole inspections; and
  • Friday, June 19, through Friday, June 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 291 (Industrial Highway) between Sea Knight Street and Saville Avenue in Eddystone Borough and Ridley Township, for manhole inspections.

Montgomery County

  • Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, on Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) between Quarry Road and Ruth Road in Lower Salford Township, for aerial work; and
  • Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, on U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Gulph Road and Crockett Lane in Upper Merion Township, for utility repair.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
