Philadelphia Water Department to Close Ridge Avenue Weekdays Through December for Utility Improvements

King of Prussia, PA – The Philadelphia Water Department is planning to close Ridge Avenue between Midvale Avenue and Ferry Road in Philadelphia, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, beginning Wednesday, October 14, through December, for utility improvements, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

During the weekday closure, Ridge Avenue motorists will be directed to use Midvale Avenue, Kelly Drive and Ferry Road.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

The Philadelphia Water Department will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
