Route 611 North (Broad Street) Periodic Lane Closures Next Week for Safety Improvements in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA – Northbound Route 611 (Broad Street) motorists will encounter periodic lane closures at several intersections in Philadelphia, on Monday, January 18, and Tuesday, January 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for delineator installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work locations are:

  • Route 611 (Broad Street) at Tioga Street;
  • Route 611 (Broad Street) at  Ontario Street; and
  • Route 611 (Broad Street) at Venango Street.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Work on this operation will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signage and relevant training.
