Route 611 (York Road) Lane Closure Next Week for Bridge Inspection in Abington Township
King of Prussia PA – Route 611 (York Road) motorists will experience a right lane closure in both directions between Susquehanna Road and Old Welsh Road in Abington Township, Montgomery County, on Wednesday, November 17, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, for bridge inspection, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The inspection is part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
