PECO to Close Southbound Route 611 (Old York Road) at Night for Utility Improvement in Abington Township
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is scheduled to close southbound Route 611 (Old York Road) between Route 63 (Moreland Road) and Old Welsh Road beginning Monday, September 26, for gas main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. The closure will be in place weeknights from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning through Monday, December 12.
During the closure, passenger vehicles will be directed to use Route 63 (Moreland Road), Edge Hill Road and Old Welsh Road. Flagging operations will be in place for large trucks to travel through the work zone.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
