On Wednesday, October 4, 2023 the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be performing a National Test of the Integrated Public Alert & Warning System (IPAWS). The Federal Government has put in place a Wireless Emergency Alert System to warn the general public about emergencies, particularly those on the National level. This test will come through your wireless devices, and will display as noted: "THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed".
