St. Joseph's University Pedestrian Bridge Construction Planned on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in Philadelphia

​Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that A.P. Construction, Inc. will perform curb and sidewalk construction for the St. Joseph's University pedestrian bridge on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in Philadelphia. 

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
  • Monday, November 4, through Wednesday, November 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Thursday, November 7 through Monday, November 11, a 24-hour weekday right lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (City Avenue) between Cardinal Avenue and Lapsley Lane. 
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
