Construction Scheduled Next Week on Two U.S. 422 Improvement Projects in Montgomery County
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction will occur next week on U.S. 422 under two improvement projects in Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, November 11, through Friday, November 15, from 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM, intermittent single lane closures will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between Evergreen Road (Sanatoga Interchange) and Armand Hammer Boulevard for road and bridge reconstruction.
- Monday, November 11, through Friday, November 15, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, intermittent single lane closures with 15-minute traffic stoppages will be in place in both directions on Sanatoga Road between E. High Street and Linfield Road for bridge demolition.
- Monday, November 11, through Friday, November 15, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, intermittent single lane closures with 15-minute traffic stoppages will be in place in both directions on Porter Road between E. High Street and Sanatoga Station Road for bridge demolition.
- Monday, November 11, through Friday, November 15, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, intermittent single lane closures will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between Keim Street and Evergreen Road (Sanatoga Interchange) for road and bridge reconstruction.
- Monday, November 11, through Thursday, November 14, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a right lane closure will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Phoenixville/Collegeville (Route 29) and Bridgeport/Valley Forge (Route 23) interchanges for milling and paving.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The concrete patching is part of a $6.9 million project to rehabilitate pavement on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Route 29/Phoenixville and Route 363/Trooper Road interchanges.
The shoulder and roadway reconstruction are part of an $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve U.S. 422 and replace two bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road.
