Traffic Shift Planned at Night Next Week on U.S. 1 for Reconstruction in Bensalem Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction is planned at night next week U.S. 1 in Bensalem Township under PennDOT's $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bucks County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

During the Rockhill Drive closure, motorists are directed to use the following detours:

  • Rockhill Drive to U.S. 1 North: North on Neshaminy Blvd, west on Bristol Road, south on Old Lincoln highway to east on Street Road to the ramp to U.S. 1 north.
  • U.S. 1 North to Rockhill Drive: North on U.S. 1, exit Penndel/Business U.S. 1, south on Old Lincoln Highway, east on Bristol Road, south on Neshaminy Boulevard back to Rockhill Drive.
  • U.S. 1 South to Neshaminy Mall: Exit at Neshaminy/Rockhill Drive, west on Rockhill Drive, north on Old Lincoln Highway, east on Bristol Road, south on Neshaminy Boulevard.

The work is part of PennDOT's U.S. 1/RC2 contract that will reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange.
