Sign Inspections Scheduled Next Week on I-95 in Delaware County
King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that sign inspections are scheduled next week on Interstate 95 in Delaware County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Thursday, January 9, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Route 452 and the U.S. 322 interchanges in City of Chester and Trainer Borough.
- Thursday, January 9, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the I-476 and the Route 420 interchanges in Ridley Township.
- Friday, January 10, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the I-476 and the U.S. 322 interchanges in City of Chester.
- Friday, January 10, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Route 452 and the Chichester Avenue interchanges in Upper Chichester Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect overhead signs at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
