Wismer Road Restricted Next Week for Geotechnical Testing in Plumstead Township

​King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on Wismer Road just south of the Ferry Road intersection in Plumstead Township, Bucks County on Monday, December 9, and Tuesday, December 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for geotechnical test borings, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. 

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather permitting.

Croton Road Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Resurfacing Operations in Upper Merion, Montgomery County

​King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on Croton Road between Gulph Road and Radnor Road, in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, on Sunday, December 8, through Wednesday, December 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for paving operations, as part of a project to repair and resurface state highways in Montgomery County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Allan Myers, LP of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on the $4,141,414 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.

Welsh Road Restricted for Resurfacing Operations in Philadelphia

​King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on Welsh Road between Verree Road and Grant Avenue in Philadelphia on Wednesday, December 11, through Friday, December 13, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for paving operations as part of a project to repair and resurface 39 miles of state highway in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming Operations in Chester County

​King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on several state highways next week in Chester County, on Monday, December 9, through Friday, December 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for tree trimming operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Creek Road between Route 926 (Street Road) and Wylie Ter Road in Pocopson and Birmingham townships;
• Birmingham Road between Route 52 (Lenape Road) and Brintons Bridge Road in East Bradford and Birmingham townships;
• Wylie Ter Road between Birmingham Road and Creek Road in Birmingham Township;
• Route 926 (Street Road) between Dutton Mill Road and Powderhorn Drive in Willistown and Westtown townships;
• Concord Road between Beechwood Road and Route 926 (Street Road) in Westtown Township;
• Westtown Road between Westtown Way and Mallard Road in West Goshen Township;
• Westtown Road between Route 926 (Street Road) and Westtown School Road in Westtown Township;
• Sugartown Road between Providence Road and Goshen Road in Willistown Township;
• Providence Road between Goshen Road and Marlborough Road in Willistown Township;
• Providence Road between Sugartown Road and Goshen Road in Willistown Township;
• Route 352 (Chester Road) between U.S. 30 (Lancaster Pike) and Strasburg Road in East Goshen and East Whiteland townships;
• Strasburg Road between Dutton Mill Road and Reservoir Road in East Goshen Township;
• Creek Road between Route 52 (Lenape Road) and St. Finegan Drive in East Bradford Township; and
• Route 926 (Street Road) between Creek Road and Route 82 (Unionville Road) in East Marlborough and Pennsbury townships.

In addition to the weekday restrictions above, flagging operations are also scheduled on Old Kennett Road between Creek Road and Burnt Mill Road in Kennett Township, on Monday, December 9, through Sunday, December 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.

PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning single lane closures next week on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Chester County

• Monday, December 9, through Friday, December 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) at Bollinger Road in East Brandywine Township; and
• Thursday, December 12, through Thursday, December 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 41 (Pennsylvania Avenue) between 5th Street and 4th Street in Avondale Borough.

Delaware County

• Monday, December 9, through Wednesday, December 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) between Darby Road and Meadowbrook Road in Haverford Township;
• Monday, December 9, through Friday, December 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 320 (Sproul Road) between Radcliffe Road and Springfield Road in Marple Township; and
• Tuesday, December 10, through Tuesday, December 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Conestoga Road between Louella Avenue and Parkes Run Lane in Radnor Township.

Montgomery County

• Monday, December 9, through Friday, December 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Egypt Road between Crawford Road and Buckwalter Road in Lower Providence Township; and
• Tuesday, December 10, through Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled Monday through Saturday on Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) between Thompson Road and Shelly Road in Upper Salford Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) Restricted Overnights Next Week for Pipe Inspection in Upper Merion Township

​King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) between the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Route 320 (Gulph Mills) Interchange in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, on Monday, December 9, through Thursday, December 12, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, for pipe cleaning and inspection, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. The work is part of a project to remediate four sinkhole locations that have occurred on I-76 in the U.S. 202 Interchange area in Upper Merion Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays may occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

J.D. Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, Chester County is the general contractor on the $4,076,772 project which is financed with 100 percent federal funds. The entire project is expected to finish in the spring of 2020.
