PennDOT Reopens Allentown Road Bridge over Butter Creek in West Rockhill Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today reopened the bridge carrying Allentown Road over Butter Creek in West Rockhill Township, Bucks County following repair of the pipe arch bridge footers that were damaged from Tropical Storm Ida.   

PennDOT's contractor reinforced and underpinned the ground beneath the support footers to safely reopen the bridge to traffic today.

Built in 1908, the single-span arch deck bridge is 19 feet long, 18 feet wide and carries approximately 7,006 vehicles per day.

Greenhill Road to Close Next Wednesday for Pipe Replacement in Solebury Township

King of Prussia, PA – Greenhill Road is scheduled to close between Aquetong Road and Route 263 (Upper York Road) in Solebury Township, Bucks County on Wednesday, November 10, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM for pipe replacement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Aquetong Road and Route 263 (Upper York Road). Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays may occur. This operation is weather dependent.

​King of Prussia, PA – Kellers Church Road is scheduled to close between Creek Road and Meadow Lane in Bedminster Township, Bucks County on Friday, November 5, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM for pipe replacement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

During the closure, which is weather permitting, motorists will be directed to use Creek Road, Quarry Road and Deep Run Road. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.

The closure will remain in place through early December.

During the closure, Modena Road motorists will be directed to use Union Street, North Brandywine Avenue, Lower Gap Road, and Youngsburg Road/First Avenue. Local access will be maintained during the operation.

Aqua Pennsylvania to Close Devon State Road for Utility Improvement in Tredyffrin Township

King of Prussia, PA – Aqua Pennsylvania is planning to close Devon State Road between Forest Hills Circle and Gwen Lane in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County beginning Tuesday, November 16, for water main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. The closure will be in place weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through Friday, December 31.

During the closure, Devon State Road motorists will be directed to use Conestoga Road, Cassatt Road, Route 252 (Swedesford Road) and Valley Forge Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

King of Prussia, PA – The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission is planning to close Woodside Road between Route 32 (River Road) and Taylorsville Road in Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County, on Thursday, November 4, through Monday, November 8, from 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM the following morning for milling and paving, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

During the closure, northbound motorists will be detoured to Taylorsville Road, Mount Eyre Road and Route 32 (River Road). Southbound motorists will be directed to use Taylorsville Road, Main Street, Route 332 (Afton Road) and Route 32 (Delaware Avenue/River Road). Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

The left lane closures will be in place 24/7 until the repair work is completed.
