Ramp closures are scheduled this weekend and at night next week at the
Interstate 95 Cottman Avenue Interchange in Philadelphia as part of
construction underway to improve the interchange and widen adjoining
sections
of I-95, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said
today.
The ramp closure schedule is:
• Saturday, October 22, from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, the Princeton Avenue
on-ramp
to I-95 north will be closed to complete the installation of a new water
line
that runs under Princeton Avenue, and repair Princeton Avenue east of State
Road at the base of the entrance ramp. Motorists may access I-95 north by
going
north on State Road, right on Bleigh Avenue, then right on Milnor Street to
the
on-ramp, or follow the detour north on State Road, left on Linden Avenue,
then
right on the ramp to I-95 north at the Academy Road Interchange; and
• On Sunday, October 23, through Saturday, October 29, from 8:00 PM to 5:00
AM
the following morning, the I-95 north off-ramp to Cottman Avenue (Route 73)
will be closed periodically for ramp construction. Motorists will be
detoured
north on I-95 to the exit at the Academy Road Interchange, then right on
Linden
Avenue, and right on State Road to Cottman Avenue (Route 73).
In addition, construction of I-95's new northbound viaduct at the Girard
Avenue
Interchange, will restrict travel on the following surface streets in the
vicinity of the interchange during the day next week:
• Northbound Aramingo Avenue will be closed at the I-95 overpass on
Wednesday,
October 26, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Motorists will be detoured north on
Richmond Street, then left on Lehigh Avenue to Aramingo Avenue;
• Southbound Richmond Street will be closed between Lehigh Avenue and
Cumberland Street on Tuesday, October 25, and Friday, October 28, from 6:00
AM
to 2:00 PM. Motorists will be detoured over Lehigh Avenue, Aramingo Avenue
and
Delaware Avenue; and
• The northbound detour road (Allen Street) between Richmond Street and

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
nighttime lane restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 76 west at the
Interstate 476 Interchange in West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County,
on
Monday, October 24, and Tuesday, October 25, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, for
bridge deck repairs.
Motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel on I-76 during
the
