Sunoco Pipeline LP to Close Little Conestoga Road Overnights for Pipe Installation in Wallace, Upper Uwchlan Townships

King of Prussia, PA – Sunoco Pipeline LP is planning an overnight closure and detour on Little Conestoga Road between Styer Road and Park Road in Wallace and Upper Uwchlan townships, Chester County, on Wednesday, April 13, through Wednesday, April 27, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, for paving operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.  

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Styer Road, Greenridge Road, Font Road, Route 100 (Pottstown Pike), and Park Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. 

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Sunoco Pipeline LP will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

U.S. 422, N. Gulph Road Lane Closures for PA Turnpike Construction in Montgomery and Chester Counties

King of Prussia, PA – Single lane closures will be in place at night on U.S. 422 and N. Gulph Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County and Tredyffrin Township, Chester County for removal of deck beams from two Pennsylvania Turnpike overpasses, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule and locations are:

• Friday, March 25, and Tuesday, March 29, through Thursday, March 31, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating single lane closures will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between the U.S. 202 and First Avenue interchanges;
• Friday, March 25, and Tuesday, March 29, through Thursday, March 31, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating single lane closures will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between the U.S. 202 and First Avenue interchanges; and
• Monday, March 28, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, alternating single lane closures will be in place on westbound N. Gulph Road between Goddard Boulevard and First Avenue.
  

Motorists should use caution and be prepared for slow or stopped traffic approaching these areas.  All activities are weather permitting and subject to change.

This work is related to construction currently underway by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission to widen and improve the Turnpike and its bridges between milepost 324 and milepost 326. More information is available at www.patpconstruction.com/mp324to326/home.aspx

Route 82 South (1st Avenue) Lane Closure Monday for Digital Message Sign Repair in City of Coatesville

King of Prussia, PA – A right lane and shoulder closure will be in place on southbound Route 82 (1^st Avenue) just south of the Route 340 (Kings Highway) Interchange in the City of Coatesville, Chester County on Monday, March 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for Digital Message Sign (DMS) installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays may occur. The schedule is weather dependent and subject to change.

The work is part of a project to repair or install ITS improvements on U.S. 30 (Coatesville-Downingtown Bypass) and a 20-mile stretch of Business U.S. 30 that extends from west of Route 10 (Octorara Trail) in West Sadsbury Township to the U.S. 30 (Coatesville-Downingtown Bypass) Interchange with U.S. 202 in East Whiteland Township, Chester County.

Bruce & Merrilees Electric Company, of New Castle, PA, is the general contractor on the project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.

King of Prussia, PA – Nighttime lane closures are scheduled next week on northbound or southbound U.S. 1 just south of the Route 472 (Quarryville/Oxford) Interchange in East Nottingham Township, Chester County, for traffic counter installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, March 28, and Tuesday, March 29, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a single lane closure will be in place on southbound U.S. 1; and
• Wednesday, March 30, and Thursday, March 31, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a single lane closure will be in place on northbound U.S. 1.
  

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of a PennDOT project to install or repair traffic monitoring sites across the state.

Kuharchik Construction Inc., of Exeter, Pa. is the general contractor on the $760,640 project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.

I-95 Lane Closures at Night Next Week for Construction in Lower, Upper Chichester Townships

King of Prussia, PA -- Interstate 95 motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions between Naamans Creek Road and Chichester Avenue in Lower and Upper Chichester townships, Delaware County, on Monday, March 28, though Wednesday, March 30, from 7:30 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for construction cleanup activities under a project to perform high-priority repairs on 13 structures on I-95, Interstate 295 and Interstate 476 in Philadelphia, Bucks and Delaware counties, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Repairs to the 13 structures include replacing rocker bearings, frozen sliding plate bearings and deck expansion joints; cleaning and painting steel beams; repairing substructure concrete; and reconstructing bearing pedestals.

In addition, the project includes the replacement of 24 high mast light poles along the I-95 corridor in Philadelphia and Delaware counties.

Driscoll Construction Company, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the $39.4 million project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds. Construction is expected to finish in late 2023.

King of Prussia, PA – Nighttime lane closures will be in place in both directions on Interstate 95 at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange in Philadelphia on Sunday, March 27, through Friday, April 1, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for soil borings, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

In addition, southbound travel and bike lane closures are scheduled on southbound

Columbus Boulevard between Lombard Circle and the ramp to northbound I-95 on Tuesday, March 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for stormwater drainage maintenance.

Drivers are advised to use alternate routes or allow extra time when traveling through the work area because significant backups and delays will occur. All operations are weather dependent.

The soil boring work is part of advance engineering activities underway for future reconstruction of I-95 at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange.

King of Prussia, PA – Intermittent lane closures will be in place on U.S. 202, Route 23 (Front Street) and Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) in Chester and Montgomery counties on Monday, March 28, through Thursday, March 31, from 10:00 PM to 5:00AM the following morning for construction activities under a project to replace ramp meters and digital message signs on Interstate 476 and several other state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work locations are:

• Southbound U.S. 202 at the Route 401 (Conestoga Road) Interchange in East Whiteland Township, Chester County;
• Eastbound Route 23 (Front Street) at Williams Street in West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County; and
• Eastbound Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) at Old Forty Foot Road in Towamencin Township, Montgomery County.
  

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
